Two Best Foods for the Skin - Best Complement to Skin Food

Want to Have Perfect Skin Complexion?

Provide your skin with the right skin food.

Since ancient time women have been using natural food products as source of ingredients to keep their skin healthy and their complexion smooth and clear.
But feeding the skin has been developed to level of sophistication through the science of cosmetics. But there's a growing trend towards more natural and organic ingredients - from fruits, vegetables and herbs - rather than synthetic ones. And this is rather good. Fresh from nature has always been the best.

Feed your Skin from Within

An approach to feeding the skin with skin food, however, is through healthy nutrition. Over-all health is the foundation of beauty manifesting itself in healthy, smooth and glowing skin complexion. But with so much information bombarding us, it is better to approach the matter in a simpler way. There are two basic ways you can do this that are rather simple.

  • Fruits and Vegetables Diet

  • Fruits and vegetables are best when they are grown organically and eaten at their most natural state. Raw vegetables or at least half raw vegetables are the best way to consume them. There is something about raw vegetables which are lost when cooked. Leslie Keaton, based on her extensive research calls it raw energy. For a very informative resource about this, with complete instructions on different ways and levels of developing a raw food diet, refer to The New Raw Energy.

Other resources for the Raw Food Diet are:
  • Nutritional Supplementation

  • For women on the go and find it cumbersome to make kitchen preparations, nutritional supplementation is the answer. The most advanced concept of nutritional supplementation is cellular nutrition through natura-ceuticals. This brings the much needed nutrients direct to the cells of the body at the quickest time so that the benefits are experienced faster. In this regard, Nature's Way - the number 1 food supplement/herbal manufacturer in the USA has formulated the most complete natura-ceuticals: C24/7 Natura-ceuticals
C24/7 Natura-ceuticals is the complete nutritional supplement providing the body with all that is needed for normal functioning and health; with high level of anti-oxidants to protect the body from diseases.

The specific nutritional supplementation for providing skin food from within is the Perfect White available in capsule form.

Another Nutritional CosmeCeutical perfect for those who want to provide skin food for health and beauty is WhiteLight.

Above nutra-ceuticals are exclusively distributed by Alliance in Motion Global, Inc.

How to Be Healthy and Well the Beautiful Way

Photo Credits: By Shustov (Own work) [CC-BY-SA-3.0 (www.creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

There are simple natural ways to health that we can practice daily. And they do not cost any or are inexpensive if at all. The list that I have below is based on what our body naturally needs. Some are so obvious that you may tend to take for granted. Here they are:

  •  Take plenty of fresh air everyday as often as you can. Without oxygen you won’t survive for barely a few minutes, but since we naturally breathe we take for granted that we have it without thinking about it. But there are more things you can do.

    • Depending on where you live, schedule a regular walk to a nearby park or beach or any place where there is plenty of fresh air. A place where there are plenty of trees is preferable. Atmosphere underneath tree canopy have ionized air that is good for the body, especially for those suffering asthma or bronchial allergy.
    •  Learn to breathe right. You may have acquired the habit of breathing through the mouth. Practice and acquire back the habit of breathing through your nostrils. Learn and practice basic yoga breathing techniques. Yoga is called the science of breath and has been attested by millions to have tremendous health benefits - even healing from sickness and diseases. Do not let its association with eastern religion deter you from learning and practicing it, even just the basics.

  • Drink eight glasses of water every day, even more during hot days, even when you don not experience thirst. The body is 60-75% water and drinking generous amount ensures that you’ll have healthy looking skin and hair instead of looking dry or damaged.

  • Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Cooked and processed food are good only to the extent that they are close to their natural state, that is, not overcooked or too much enhanced with chemically derived additives. Avoid or minimize meat. Since most cooked and processed foods are nutrient deficient, take regularly the best nutritional supplements you can find.

  • Detoxify your body. Years of indiscriminate eating account for the blemishes and wrinkles of the skin as well as the presence or onset of degenerative disease which contorts the face and body. The best way to do this is through water therapy and eating cleansing food regularly, like cucumber and cleansing drink like green tea, ginger ale and other herbal drinks. But the long term approach is through careful choice of health food as your daily diet.

  • Exercise regularly. Take long walks, jog, run, and bike. If you are sports minded ensure that it is given a definite slot in your weekly schedule. Exercise can easily be fitted in your daily routine, even at the office, through 5-10 minute stretches or simple calisthenics.

  • Make personal hygiene an absolute habit. Choose facial cleansers, cosmetics and toiletries of natural ingredients and that blend well and naturally with your body’s intuition.

    Beauty from Within

It has been common word that beauty is skin deep and inner beauty, referring to more appealing character, is more important. But a more wholistic consideration of beauty includes not just the idea of inner character but also the idea of beauty from within – the wellness of the body from its more fundamental level.

While the skin can be taken cared of from outside through facial-body creams and ointments, a basic principle for youthfulness and beauty is to care for the inner needs of the body. The form outside is a reflection of the state within the body - the body’s systems, organs, tissues and cells. Developing beauty from within involves caring for the basic needs of the body. This is done through inner cleansing, aerobics exercise, water therapy and healthy nutrition.

But there is something even more fundamental than taking care of the physiological needs of the body. The care of the inner mind - having the right habits of the mind - is the ultimate determinant of what the body becomes. Past experiences of the body taken into the belief system of the mind becomes influencing factors that determines the behavior of the body. For example, experiences of sickness joined with feelings of fear for one’s health form the inner perception of the body’s weakness and susceptibility to disease, making one prone to sickness at the slightest change in external factors.

On a positive vein we can see a mature woman suddenly transformed and radiant with beauty when, after years of loveless life, she fell in love again and became the center of her lover’s universe. Love gave her the inner perception of her own beauty and loveliness; and her whole physiology responded to her brain’s conviction and outwardly manifested in her psycho-physical beauty and loveliness.

Beauty from within is founded on the scientific discovery of the intimate mind/brain-body connection, which essentially demonstrated that our inner most thoughts and feelings changes the biochemistry of the body down to the cellular and molecular level. Conversely, the bodily movement likewise influences the biochemical behavior of the brain which manifest in thoughts and feelings.

Beauty from within will become a living reality in your person when you learn to habitually see yourself as a total whole and take care of yourself as a complete person – body, mind and spirit.

    The Power of Smile

I believe that wellness is the foundation of beauty and anything that will help us attain and maintain wellness will be a wellspring of beauty.
    Pull Quotes 1
Smile is an alchemy for wellness, beauty, happiness and love.

Beauty is one of the most abundant reality in nature. It is also something that is a passion of every woman, especially young women; and many are spending hundreds and thousands to be beautiful and to maintain beauty.

But nature endowed us with priceless yet freely available power that can bring both beauty and wellness - the power to smile.

Smile indeed is a powerful gift which when constantly used creates the kind of beauty that is beyond conventional physical beauty but a manifestation of the loveliness of the whole person.  Thus we can see women who are not exceptionally beautiful by common standard but radiates in their individual person an aura of beauty that captivates us by their radiant smile.

What is in smile that makes a person beautiful and attractive? The French physician Guillaume Duchenne, while studying the physiology of facial expressions, discovered that there is a smile that is not real smile and could be distinguished from genuine smile by the kind of muscles involved during the act of smiling.  Genuine smile involves tightening movement of the muscles around the eyes and the cheekbones and the muscles at the corners of the mouth. The inauthentic smile involves only the movement at the corner of the mouth.

The motivating factor for genuine smile is happiness. Genuine smile indicates real happiness. And the feeling of happiness is induced by brain chemistry, particularly the chemicals serotonin and dopamine.  But the more amazing scientific fact is that genuine smile induces automatic  production of these feel good chemicals by the brain.  From the practical point of view, smile can be used as a proactive tool to feel good and happy.

Not only that, smiling can be used to improve one’s experience of life and in particular to increase the perception of beauty in the eyes of the beholder. Studies made showed that  the perception of smile conveys  friendly attitude, interest and desire to communicate and causes likewise in the other person the release of happiness chemicals and infuence them emotionally to experience good feelings which in turn influence their perception of the attractiveness of the smiling person.

But how can one induce geneuine smile in one’s self.  Positive thoughts and imagination of pleasant things are the powerful tool that create genuine smile.  Remember how at various times you find yourself smiling for a mere remembrance of a beloved person or a plesant experience in the past? Indeed it is well and good for us to heed the advice of Paul in his letter to the Philippians:

“. . . whatever  is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about  these things.”  (Philippians 4:8, RSV).

There is much more you can learn about the power of smiling, indeed there is a secret science on smiling and this is intensively written about by Elan Sun Star in Smile! The Secret Science of Smiling

    A Passion for Wellness

As a young woman in my prime, I'm deeply passionate about being well and beautiful not only now but in the many years ahead of me, and I decided to blog about all that I am doing and want to be doing to keep wellness and beauty; and to share to as many who are interested and can be benefited from the experiences and information I am discovering.

Fortunate for us in this generation; all that that we need to know, do and share is lavishly available to one passionate about anything.

But while information and products are abundant, I'm  interested in finding only the best.

I love nature and everything that is based in and spring up from nature. The closest to nature and the natural state the food and beauty products are, the more powerful they are in delivering the health and wellness from which beauty spring forth.
